As a spine surgeon utilizing minimally invasive techniques, SMISS really represents my interests. As a young surgeon, SMISS provides me with a unique forum to discuss minimally invasive techniques with my peers and develop relationships with the pioneers in the field of MIS. I joined SMISS because it is really the only society that is dedicated to minimally invasive spine surgery.
